A Night to Remember

I was pleasantly surprised when I returned to the Brasserie after a new menu had been launched. The restaurant seemed more crowded, and they were serving dishes that sounded good!

For my starter, I ordered a light main, not even considering the option of soup.
The courgette tagliatelle is refreshing and tangy with just enough spice to make you reach for your glass of water as fast as possible.
My dining partner’s beef brisket croquettes are rich in flavour and were an excellent accompaniment to this dish which was more than either one of us could finish!
There’s also a beautiful piccalilli that we both agree on being better than anything else found at other restaurants around town.

I’m anxiously awaiting our main courses, and my 7oz fillet of steak with lobster tail, peppercorn sauce, and fat-cut chips are just the way I like them.
A beautiful sample of medium-rare beef was served to me, cooked exactly to my specifications. It was mostly the chunkiness of the chip fries that I loved; they were crisp on one side and fluffy on the other!
Furthermore, the dish comes with a generous amount of cream pepper sauce which can also be used as a dipping sauce -YUM!

My partner ordered the braised blade of beef with mushroom gravy, forestiere sauce, and horseradish cream. Added to the order are chips with truffle oil and Parmesan cheese sauce.
As soon as we get my dishes in front of me he gives me a taste of that meat, so to make sure I do not miss anything I close my eyes and savour our meal!
This dish is soaked in plenty of rich gravy with slices of crispy bubbled potatoes sprinkled on top.
It is hearty, satisfying, and hearty winter-warming goodness, it leaves you feeling full for hours afterwards.

Offering a welcoming environment, this restaurant is perfect for the everyday person who wants to eat something they’re familiar with.
They cater well for large groups and even those who have dietary restrictions!
